II John
The older one to the chosen Cyria, and her children, whom I love in the Truth; and not I only, but also all those who have known the Truth; for the sake of truth, which abides in us, and will be with us forever: grace, mercy, and peace will be with you from God the Father, and from Jesus Christ, the Father’s Son, in truth and love.
I rejoiced greatly because I have found of your children walking in the Truth, as we received a Commandment from the Father. I ask you, Cyria (not as writing a new commandment, but one we have had from the beginning), should we not love one another? This is love, that we should walk according to His commandments; even as you have heard from the beginning, that you should walk in It.
Many deceivers have gone out into the world, those who do not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh; this is the ‘deceiver’ and the antichrist. Watch yourselves, so that you may not lose the things for which we have worked, but that you receive a full reward.
Everyone who goes beyond and does not abide in the Doctrine of Christ does not have God; the one who abides in the Doctrine has both the Father and the Son. If anyone comes to you, and does not bring this doctrine, do not receive him into your house, and do not greet him. The one who gives him a greeting shares his evil works.
I have many things to write to you, but I do not wish to do so with paper and ink. Instead, I hope to be with you, and to speak face to face that our joy may be made full. The children of your chosen sister greet you.
